At what point in the process is an air stripper installed for a surface water treatment plant?

The location of the air stripper in a drinking water process string will vary depending on factors including source water, target contaminants, integration with other process units, etc.  Several low level VOC treatment projects QED has been involved with recently placed the air stripper between the groundwater supply well and storage tank, with disinfection and fluoridation after the stripper and before storage. THM treatment systems will need to carefully consider stripper placement due to THM reformation issues.
