How are the E-Z Tray units decommissioned? Can they be moved to other sites?

If a unit is to be taken off-line for some amount of time, it should be opened up, cleaned (pressure washed with potable water), allowed to dry and then closed back up.  Pipe connections can be sealed.  We spray a dilute chlorine and water solution on the inner surfaces of any drinking water unit immediately prior to shipment.  This will probably need to be done when bringing a unit back on line after an extended shutdown.  If the unit is to be brought back into service, gaskets and tray felt should be examined and replaced if needed.  Units can be moved, however, the larger units will probably require the use of professional riggers to make sure the unit is not damaged during loading and unloading.  The E-Z Tray units have been mounted on trailers for use in very short term applications (such as dewatering projects) and QED can provide contact information for contractors that have trailer mounted units available for rental.
