We plan on purchasing your largest 1,000 gpm unit EZ 96.6. Our design shows air intake from an outside location (ambient temperature, Ohio). How important is it to have an inside dilution port to introduce warmer, inside air during winter months?

Provided you are keeping the water from freezing, the heat content of the water vastly outweighs any moderate increase in air temperature. However, air stripping is more efficient as the water temperature rises. It might be important from an overall “building heating” standpoint to not draw blower air from within the building, since that would quickly pull outside air in and cool the whole building. Negative pressure can also be dangerous in well-sealed structures. Mainly, attention needs to be paid to situations where the blower is running and the water flow has stopped.
