Can large machinery or movement of nearby wells cause release of buildups in nearby soil?
Can large machinery or movement of nearby wells cause release of buildups in nearby soil? Can you get different readouts from the same site with the only difference being slight vibrations in the ground?
QED was monitoring some wells that were near a railroad bed, and when a train went by the water levels in the well would go up. It was very measurable and very obvious. That amount of weight on the train tracks was causing an increase in water level, which means, essentially, it was moving water toward the well. If it was also changing the groundwater flow conditions, it's very possible that you would get different parameter measurements as well because you are potentially changing the source of the water coming to the well. It definitely seems possible.
