When using a peristaltic pump where is the ideal location for the tubing inlet?
It really doesn’t matter where the pump inlet is located in the screen. However, in the case of peristaltic pumps you have two considerations: one is the limit of suction, which is on a practical basis about 25 feet/8 meters at a maximum – you need to be in the upper end of the water column there in order to not exceed the suction limit. The other consideration is a short water column – with a very short water column you will get too much drawdown.
