QED’s Well Caps are the first engineered gas well caps that allow liquid level readings without removing the wellhead. This causes less system disruption, makes taking level measurements faster and safer, and landfill technicians are not exposed to gases that may be released from the well.
All QED Well Caps have ports allowing easy access for level probes, bubbler tubes and the QED Easy Level™ (U.S. Patent Number 8,756,991) for monitoring and measuring liquid levels. This means no air introduction, no need to shut down the well for level measurements, and no need to rebalance the well field afterward. And, most QED Well Cap models can accommodate a down well pump to help control landfill liquids.
QED’s new and innovative Stabilizer™ Well Cap (Patent Pending) has a unique support ring feature molded directly into the cap that aligns and stabilizes the wellhead. This takes pressure off the flexible coupling and the flex hose and, along with watertight threads, reduces leaks from the wellhead.
The Stabilizer Well Caps are designed to work with 6” and 8" diameter wells with 2" or 3" gas wellheads. There is also an economy model for 6" gas-only wells. The Stabilizer’s durable, heavy-walled polyethylene construction makes it ideal for any climate. And the Well Caps are molded in QED’s distinctive yellow color to identify and protect the entire well from mishaps in the field
