Groundwater remediation treats polluted groundwater by removing pollutants or converting them into harmless products. Globally, between 25 per cent and 40 per cent of the world's drinking water is drawn groundwater wells. Groundwater is also used by farmers to irrigate crops and by industries to produce everyday goods. Monitoring and treating, or remediating, polluted water before it can contaminate pure water protects our health, our crops and the environments. QED has several systems, from simple to complex, to help monitor, remove and treat contaminated groundwater.
