QED heads to Contamination Expo Series 2018

QED Environmental Systems Limited has welcomed new Business Development Manager Andrew Scarrott to its team.

Andrew brings with him nearly three decades of experience in the oil and gas, and power generation industries across international markets with Neste Oil, Alstom Gas Turbines, Cooper/Eaton MEDC and Viking EMEA.  The appointment reinforces the firm’s strategy for global growth in this sector.

Andrew’s arrival comes shortly after QED Environmental Systems opened its new international headquarters in Coventry, merging specialist manufacturer and supplier of gas analysis equipment Geotech under the QED name.

In his new role Andrew will develop new business by defining and planning new and emerging markets for existing and future QED Environmental Systems products.  He also takes ownership of delivering large bids and has responsibility for the product lifecycle strategy and roadmap within the gas analyser product category.           

Andrew’s experience has seen him work on extremely complex technical safety systems in hazardous areas for oil exploration, production and chemical processing.

Most recently Andrew worked on fire suppression systems using inert gases to extinguish fires on critical oil and gas infrastructure.

His career to date has included more than three years in Saudi Arabia working with Alstom Gas Turbines and five years at Neste Oil’s Finland based refinery.  Whilst in these roles Andrew has developed business in Europe, Russia, North Africa and the Caspian region.

Particularly this is clear on an international basis establishing the new international headquarters in Coventry – a place I’m familiar with having worked at Jaguar Cars in my early working life.”
